Preparing Your Child:
High School & Beyond

• Eighth-grade graduates are encouraged to apply to both CICS high schools and selective-enrollment high schools in the city.

• Incoming freshman are invited to a summer transition program to help them understand the responsibilities of attending a CICS high school and the opportunities that the curricula and out-of-school experiences provide.

• High school seniors are encouraged to apply to at least three post-secondary schools.
