CICS Longwood Senior, James J. shares his experience.
What are your favorite classes at Longwood?
My favorite class at Longwood is senior seminar, because that class is helping prepare us for college and the real world.
Are you involved in any extracurricular activities like clubs or sports?
Yes. I am the captain of the track team, and I am the former secretary of student council and was on the debate team for a year.
How does it feel going into the last semester of your senior year?
It feels significant. Actually, I was on the honor roll for first semester, so I am hoping get honor roll for this last semester, too. I’m just enjoying it all.
Do you have plans for after graduation?
Yes. My plans are to go to the Air Force and get my MBA, which is a Masters of Business Administration, and also study information technology.
How do you think Longwood has prepared you for those plans?
Longwood has prepared me for these plans by giving me a great opportunity to work at Genesys Works and be an intern at GTCR downtown working as an IT specialist.
Is there anyone you would like to thank for supporting you throughout high school?
I will like to thank all my teachers throughout high school, but I would especially like to thank Mrs. Andrea Stone for being there for me throughout the whole four years and pushing me to go further.
If you could give advice to any younger students reading this, what would you tell them?
I would like to tell them to keep pushing and pushing. You got this, and if I can do it, you can do it, too. Dreams really do come true.
